Sustainability Commitment

The Tourism Sustainability Commitment aims to ensure economic, environmental and social sustainability becomes a genuine ethical underpinning of our industry.

Developed by industry for industry, it establishes 8 industry-level sustainability Goals and 14 Commitments that individual businesses can achieve to help the industry reach the Goals.

Tourism Industry Association

Tourism Industry Aotearoa (TIA) is the only independent association that represents all sectors of New Zealand's large and diverse tourism industry. We accomplish what no single member or sector group could achieve by themselves.

Our members range from SMEs to large, publicly listed corporates. Collectively, they represent around 85% of total tourism industry turnover. The more members and support TIA has, the stronger our influence and the more we can achieve.

Tiaki Promise

New Zealand is precious, and everyone who lives and travels here has a responsibility to look after it.

The Tiaki Promise is a commitment to care for New Zealand, for now and for future generations.

By following the Tiaki Promise, VisitorPoint are making a commitment to New Zealand. To act as a guardian, protecting and preserving our home.
